What is kuvvet macunu?
In Türkiye, a thick paste of honey, herbs and spices is called a macun, and the tradition reaches back to Ottoman times. The best-known is Mesir macunu from Manisa, first prepared in the 16th century and still celebrated there every spring with a festival recognised by UNESCO.
Kuvvet macunu, which translates as “strength paste”, is the name Turkish families give to the richer, heavily spiced versions of these pastes: the jar kept in the cupboard and enjoyed one spoonful at a time.
Maccun Plus is made in that tradition in the Manisa region of Türkiye, to the recipe the Maccun brand has followed since 1981.

What is Maccun Plus?
A traditional Turkish paste, known in Türkiye as kuvvet macunu, made with honey, bee pollen and more than 40 herbs and spices. It comes in a 240g glass jar or in boxes of 12 single-serve sachets.
Is it a medicine?
No. Maccun Plus is a food supplement. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is no substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
How much should I take?
Stir well and take one teaspoon a day, ideally before a meal. If you choose sachets, one sachet is one serving. Do not exceed the suggested daily amount, and if you notice a headache, take less.
Who should not use it?
It is not suitable for children or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and because it contains honey it must never be given to babies under 12 months. If you take any medication or have a medical condition, including high blood pressure or a heart condition, speak to your doctor first.
